IDOTV was created by activist Rachel Crandall in 2009 as a day of celebration, a day so that the Trans community could come together to celebrate their Authentic selves proudly.


What started as a small Facebook campaign is now a global day of Visibility.


However TARA is very mindful that any celebration of visibility for a marginalised community can be very dangerous and/or life threatening.


Be Visible if you can be safe.

We at TARA acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country, and that operation and administration of this organisation takes place on the stolen, unceded land of First Nations.

We recognise the Traditional Owners' continuing connection to land, waters and culture and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
