The Autistic Realm Australia Inc. is an Australian charity completely led and managed by Autistics.
We are a national Not-for-profit with several online communities such as TARA, Fully Spectral, and The Autistic Parents Realm Australia.
Today we received a formal invitation from the Senate Select Committee on Autism to appear before their Inquiry into the services, support, and life outcomes for Autistic people in Australia.
Our submission is based on the lived experiences and stories of our community, to make sure the committee was hearing directly from Autistic Australians about what matters to us.
“This invitation is a testament to our vision of “A world where all Autistic people are free to be our authentic Autistic selves; respected, accepted and in control over our own lives and choices”
It also validates our decision to remain 100% Autistic in all our endeavours and operations to retain our autonomy. And it holds significant meaning as it gives us the opportunity to amplify the voices of our Autistic Community and share our own lived experiences as Autistic parents of Autistic children,” said Co-Founders Anna Cristina, Kylieanne Derwent, and Kathy Isaacs.
The Autistic Realm will be appearing at 10.50-11.30am on Friday 12th February, 2021.
